Know what you mean...
Remember those "Napa Valley" cassette crates that held 100 tapes? I still have a dozen of those full of Dead, plus several cardboard boxes with various boots - All neatly organized in chronological order. I haven't listened to them in years and have upgraded most all of the ones that mean something to me, but I just can't seem to part with them.
One project I do have in mind though...
I want to take all my master cassettes and transfer them to digital media. I didn't start taping at shows until 1988, but I have a fair number of cassette masters from 88 thru 93. I feel like I should have done it long ago, but I just never seem to make the time. I keep telling myself that when I am old and grey (and in the way) that I would appreciate being able to listen to them.
If only there were 36 hours in a day...
